If you have ever experienced symptoms that caused your airways to become enflamed and tight, making it difficult for you to breathe, then you may suffer from a form of bronchial asthma. Most people who suffer from bronchial asthma find that they are constantly coughing, wheezing, and coughing up mucus. An asthma attack, for someone who experiences bronchial asthma, knows all too well how scary and frustrating it can be.

A Personal Story

When I was in grade school I suffered greatly from bronchial asthma. I could not participate in any of the normal sports activities. The least little bit of physical activity would set off my bronchial asthma symptoms. I would usually cough and wheeze all day long, spitting up mucus; feeling as if I were going to pass out at times. The good news, as I aged, my bronchial asthma got much better and easier to deal with.

Bronchial asthma is very closely related to regular asthma. The symptoms are much the same with coughing and wheezing for hours; although many bronchial asthma suffers are not actually having an asthma attack.

Every Day Life Can Set Off Bronchial Asthma

Much like regular asthma, bronchial asthma can be triggered when someone is exposed to molds, pet dander, and dust. If you notice that you have difficulty breathing when you come into contact with one of these types of situations you should avoid them. There are mask that you can buy to put over your face if you know you will be in a room that has had a cat or dog present.

The Struggle with Physical Activities

People who struggle with bronchial asthma have severe problems when trying to run or even when they are under great amounts of stress. It is not uncommon for someone to start experiencing symptoms from a walk or light workout. If you are experience these types of symptoms you may need to carry an inhaler if you plan to do any type of exercise.

Avoid Certain Food Products

If you notice that you have trouble with mucus build up or other bronchial asthma symptoms when you are consuming food, or certain dairy type products you should avoid them. The most common aggravating products are bananas, cold milk, ice creams, and other cold or refrigerated food. If you are unsure what sets off your bronchial asthma you should rule out food products one at time until you identify the culprits.

Bronchial Asthma Can Be Beat

You should not live in fear of this disease. There are many steps you can take to overcome your bronchial asthma. It is not uncommon for your body to change, in time you may see a substantial positive change in your bronchial asthma.
